Investors have 10.500 square meters at their disposal For the first time in nearly two decades the Directorate of Urban Planning and Construction of Leskovac held an auction where it offered four locations at which, in accordance to precisely defined conditions for the market, they will be able to build 10.500 square meters of apartments and shops.

Starting prices vary by location and allowed squaring, which means that the highest starting price, 66 million dinars, has the location on the corner of the Đuro Salaj and Jelena Kostić Street, where building multi-storey buildings, in the area of 5.000 square meters, is planned.

At the site of Kralja Petra, which is actually the old bus station, office building surface of 2.300 square meters will be build. In the Učitelj Josić Street, near "Pepeljuga" Villa, residential building area surface 1.200 square meters is being build, while in the settlement Špitalj, multi-storey building family area surface of 2.000 square meters will be build.

The amount of money, from the starting 130 million dinars, will depend on buyer’s interest.

Dragana Stosić, the Assistant of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Housing Services Utility, says that this brings order in the chaos that was present in such investments. She also states that the aforementioned locations are very attractive.

“|Our goal is to protect investors from the problematic situation. Usually they had to buy their own private plots and then have major problems as their projects comply with the conditions to be met. Now they get a clean situation”, she says, and points out that there is a great interest of constructing companies from Leskovac and from around Serbia.
